WHAT'S NEW?

Winner of the 2017 PlancheMag test, the Kode FreeWave is our fast wave, freestyle and freeride cross-over board. Each size is designed to ride in either thruster fin setup for more maneuverability and grip or single fin configuration for speed.

The smallest size (86) is delivered with a set of thruster fins that combines a MFC TF 19 center fin with Drake Natural Wave 11 side fins for a blend of speed, grip, maneuverability and stability in all conditions.

The bigger sizes (94, 103 and 109) are delivered with the new MFC FreeWave single fin for more speed, more directional stability and earlier planing.

A reference and a favorite in the freewave segment.

The Kode FreeWave have all-new shapes across the range for 2018 that are on average 3 cm shorter for extra maneuverability, control and a more compact feeling. New double concave distribution adds crispness, comfort through chop and extra grip in the turns.

Starboard’s Raceboard rockets, the Phantom 377 and 377 L need no introduction. At the recent World Championships in Sopot, Poland, both the Men’s and Women’s podiums were occupied by the Phantom 377s.

For 2017, we are introducing a new design targeted at the R300 Class with the much awaited Phantom 299, that is based on the Phantom 377 L with added width and thickness to compensate the shorter length of 299 cm.

The Phantom 299 is 3 cm thicker than the Phantom 377 and 1 cm thicker than the Phantom 377 L for amazing light wind performance. The extra thickness allows the new Phantom 299 to lift onto its rail earlier and with better control.

INTRO
We took a Phantom shape and trimmed it down to 271 cm long for more planing versatility, without taking away from the light wind performance.

BAT WINGS
We kept the Bat Wings. These Bat Wings offer a wide planing surface at high speeds with reduced drag and more lift at low speeds. This translates into earlier planing, improved upwind tracking, a wider wind range and the possibility to use larger fins.

FULL-LENGTH MAST TRACK
We removed the adjustable, slanted mast track of the Phantom Race and simplified the deck configuration to be more ergonomic and intermediates-friendly. The mast track keeps its length for versatility and a wider wind range.

ENCLOSED FIN BOX For 2018,

we improved top speed, reduced drag and made the AirPlanes easier to get planing by enclosing the fin box permanently in the board.

The bottom shape in the tail becomes clean and more streamlined. It is glued in place and no longer removable, which also makes the boards simpler to set up.
